Welcome to Dubbo West Public School's Oppourtunity Class for 2025!
There will be many staff and students around to support you and show you to the classroom when you arrive on your first day. Mrs. Constable will be waiting at the classroom to welcome students and families. In class, students will be shown around the school, discuss lunch orders, play times and areas, toilets etc.
Below you will find some helpful information about this years Opportunity Class and answers to some frequently asked questions.

Bell times
8:45am - Teacher on duty – supervised play
9:10 - Bell goes for morning lines
9:15am - Morning session starts
11:15am - Lunch break (15 minutes eating time)
11:30 - First break
12:00 - Second session
1:30 - Second break
2:00 - Third session
3:15pm - School finishes
Food
Breakfast club - 8:45 daily. Toast, cereal, poppers, toasties, fruit available free of charge to all students.

All uniforms can be purchased from the school administration office at cost price, or at Lowes in Dubbo.

All exercise book are supplied by the school.
Students are requested, if able, to provide in a pencil case:

Communication
Weekly newsletter comes out on Wednesdays and information is shared on Dubbo West Public School Facebook page.
The School Bytes app is used for permission notes, payments and school reports, please contact the office for information on setting up access.

Sport
Moriarty (soccer) happens once per week - day to be confirmed.
Friday is sport day with PSSA sporting activities occuring in Term 2 & 4. More information will be provided.
Guitar group - Tuesdays
An external instructor provides lessons in a small group environment. More information for 2025 lessons to come.
