Dubbo West Public School is a school where efforts of staff students and parents are respected. It is a place of co-operation and harmony that occupies a split site some 700 metres apart.
The school receives funding under the Priority Schools Program. The school and its community believes in working together for the benefit of all children. It actively promotes the use of technology in classroom practice and places strong emphasis on environmental education. The school hosts the district Opportunity class and Intensive Reading class. The school runs an internal and external circus program which performs at various public functions.
